There seems to be a lot of things that really
are completely useless…
Ranks and titles, business leaders,
and processed foods without juice.
Computer games, long false nails, machines
to do your math…
Deodorants and deadly sprays
so you never need a bath.
Machines to meet all your needs
and take a walk…
Gears and wheels to serve you drinks
with voices now speaking:
No need to write anymore
or even think or spell…
Why these machines will fry for you
While you reside in Hell:
If you have enough money to spend it all
these really vivid devices…
Why… you’ll have more time to find out
the most shameful of vices!
No need to fear the outcome
or wrath of justice…
Since you can have a lawyer,
your goodness to urge!
The mafia has competition
in every wake of life…
Government and business leaders
now brandish the hitman’s knife!
Because unions proliferate
in churches and schools…
And greed, hypocrisy and power
replace the golden rule.
They are really very popular,
and computerized to start…
Their ways are most seductive,
so charming they are cute!
So well packed in fancy packaging,
the audience applauds…
As “super citizens”, win a prize
why they lied or scratched.
Before I stop to catch my breath,
The list now seems endless…
I better finish my poem
or I’ll end up friendless!
I just wanna show the way
at less than harmful values…
Love and live a simple life
and one that is clean and useful.
I laugh outside
while I write and have fun…
But I hope you’ll stop to think
and become one again.
A bright and lively person,
a unique and healthy being…
Able to do good work,
with real eyes meant to see!
A heart that feels when someone is hurt,
and hands to help a friend…
So you can change this poem for me,
and give it a hopeful ending.
It’s good to be important
It’s good to be important
but more important to be kind.
Actually…i find it boring.
to hear your title twice.
No matter what things you have
or you need to compare.
We all walk pretty much the same way
put on underwear.
I’m not impressed with dollar signs
or cold and deceitful ways,
And rather seek the company
nicer people these days.
People who know what love is,
true care and honesty…
With true and healthy values,
self-respect…integrity.
Not engulfed in ugly masks,
is no longer really real.
I much prefer a pleasant soul
with friendship for call.
It’s good to be important
although I can’t imagine why.
I prefer to watch directly
in someone else’s eyes.
Straight on a level line…
no false dichotomy…
the real man, what he really is…
that’s what I want to see.
And if it’s really important,
he will feel and do what is right…
And be a damn good guy
at the sight of other good guys.
